Lisa
Dougherty's Resume
1999 to Present
Owner of Whole Body Fitness, offering personal fitness instruction and
nutrition services to adults and teenagers. Designed a successful 6-week
lifestyle weight management program, which includes a comprehensive approach
to weight management, nutrition education and lifestyle coaching. Established
a website. Graduate of the 2-year Fitness Instructor program at the University
of California in Irvine. Certified through the American Council on Exercise
as a Personal Trainer and a Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant.
Attending additional classes towards both my Nutrition Certification and
Culinary Arts Certification through Orange Coast College. 2002 to 2003
Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Nutrition and Fitness Council
of Orange County. Responsible for overseeing the organization's mission
and purpose by managing the resources effectively. Responsible to the
members by determining and monitoring all programs and services effectively
in Orange County.
2002 to
2003
President and Chief Executive Officer of the Nutrition and Fitness Council
of Orange County (formerly O.C. Nutrition Council). Over saw all operations,
committee chairpersons, student interns and aspects of the corporation
including school programs, membership drives, fund raising, corporate
workplace programs, speakers bureau, meeting sites, website, and newsletter.
Recruited qualified professionals to volunteer work for the Council.
2001 to
2002
Treasurer of the Orange County Nutrition Council, a nonprofit organization
founded in 1974. Organized all past financials as well as co-wrote business
plan and updated corporate bylaws, rules and regulations. Established
a business licenses and solicitation permits for the organization. Maintained
all bookkeeping, membership dues billing, financial records and reporting
to both Members and the board of directors. Developed benefits for various
levels of membership.
1996-2000
Chief Financial Officer and Office Manager for R.A.D. Development, Inc.,
a 25 employee company. Responsibilities included initial set up of the
office and development of payroll plan, workers compensation, and union
benefits for all employees. Other responsibilities included bookkeeping,
billing, payroll tax preparation, correspondence and travel arrangements
for employees The company went from $100,000 to $800,000 in gross receipts
in four years.
1983-1996
Senior Sales Assistant in the Securities industry working at various firms.
Responsibilities included overall operation of marketing, data gathering
and analysis for client presentations. Enhancing client support and maximizing
customer satisfaction, negotiation and problem solving. Maintained client
and broker records, general administrative duties, public relations, and
project management. In 1992 was acknowledged and received an award as
one of the top 10 Sales Assistants at Prudential Securities.
Goals:
To educate, motivate and support people to become more physically
active and to adopt a healthier lifestyle through exercise and nutrition.
Other
memberships: IDEA, Healthy Dining Advisory Board in Los Angles and
Orange County.
Interests:
healthy cooking, running, strength training, golf, art, and reading.
